March 14 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM EDT
Beverly Bond, Creator of Black Girls Rock, in Conversation with R&B Star, Brave Williams
MahoganyBooks and Enoch Pratt Library present a special evening with Beverly Bond, creator of Black Girls Rock! in conversation with R&B superstar, Brave Williams. Join us as we celebrate all that is wonderful, beautiful and fierce about being a black woman. A riveting conversation followed by a booksigning with empowerment leader, entrepreneur, and celebrity DJ, Beverly Bond.
In 2006, Bond founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK! and created the annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards to celebrate the excellence and dynamic accomplishments of Black women across sectors. Bond’s work as a businesswoman and community leader has earned her prestigious accolades and recognition, from being included on Ebony magazine’s Power 100 list of most influential Blacks in America, two Gracie Awards, and three NAACP Image Awards and beyond.
Our brilliant Conversation Host, Brave Williams, was a cast member on the popular R&B Divas LA, and appeared in TLC’s Crazy, Sexy, Cool film on VH1. Additionally, she co-founded a girl group who opened for Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce Tour and is now slated to release her highly anticipated debut solo album in 2018. She is passionate about empowering women and young girls and is a proud mentor in Baltimore City with several organizations. Look for Brave in two films scheduled for release later this year.
This is a ticketed event. All books must be purchased onsite at the event or in advance via MahoganyBooks.com
